Fiona Kiernan-Molloy

Based in Bangkok, Fiona finds inspiration in the chaotic calm and juxtaposition of forms within this vibrant city.

Fiona is a post-graduate qualified designer and art educator. Building on a long international career in design and artisan fabrication, these days Fiona spends more time off the tools and behind her pencil. She artfully designs sustainably conscious and functional bespoke furniture that will hold its integrity for years to come.

Fiona works with local manufacturers and seeks to use reclaimed Thai teak and other furniture-grade hardwoods. Her furniture is made using natural materials, minimal hardware and traditional craftsmanship to create strong, lasting and beautiful pieces.

Her design approach and aesthetic is minimalist, elegant and timeless, inspired by mid-century modern furniture. She designs bespoke pieces for residential and commercial spaces.

Before moving to Bangkok, Fiona spent 15 years in Melbourne and New York City as a scenic artist, designer and fabricator of scenery for theatre, fashion runways, window displays, live events and custom furniture and cabinetry for residential spaces.

Fiona also maintains her passion for scenic design and is open to collaborating on events, pop-ups and community-driven projects.
